Maddow Head-to-Head with The King, Winning Hearts and Minds

By Denis Campbell • Sep 21st, 2008 • Category: Media

Rachel Maddow in her second week is winning hearts and minds away from the King and even beat her buddy Keith Olbermann in the ratings giving MSNBC a solid 1-2 punch. MSNBC continues to grow viewers and present NBC with headaches because the right wing attack dogs succeeded in banning their hosts Olbermann and Harball’s Chris Matthews and they worry about the taint on NBC News.

It’s about time NBC grew a pair and said, too bad. We’re going for integrity and being able to look in the mirror in the morning. We’re too controversial for the MSM, great! Let’s start really telling the truth about what’s going on here instead of being a flack for campaigns, so balanced we end up saying nothing and are controlled by Republican SPIN machines where we cannot say anything bad about Palin because we’re labelled sexist if we do?

They want to muzzle MSNBC but the audience is pleased to have left leaning shows they can count on like the right have Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.

A virtual audience tie in one’s second week shows what we always knew, Rachel’s got cool and game. She’ll learn how to move with cameras in time. That Countdown and Bill O are virtually tied and both she and Keith have twice the audience of CNN is proof the format works.

While no one is sure what buoyed Olbermann and Maddow - H&C had part one of the Palin interview so they spiked.

Maddow’s a big fish in the pond. You go!
